This topic was modified 5 years, 2 months ago by Ryvoix. Will this happen if I put the backup file (by copy paste) in the folder when the mod is deleted? If so, is there any way to save myself from the scenario I described above? Or should I simply avoid those customization-related mods? So, I’ve tried and understood that the workshop will delete your files if you’re not subscribed to the item (which is understandable). I worry that if this actually happens, I can no longer customize leaders in the future, and I can’t even get the chance to remove those leaders. Right now, I have created lots of leaders with mods, and I found that if I disable one of those mods, the whole game will crash as I select custom leaders, which includes leaders I created in vanilla games. After all, mods are shared by the authors, and it’s their right to decide whether or not their ideas should be published. I totally understand that sometimes the authors wish to get their mods off, so steam will help them delete the files in users’ computers. Recently, I found that some of the mods are gone, and along with the files in my computer.

Please, notify me if I post it in the wrong place or I shouldn’t discuss these kind of things. First, I’m not sure if I should post this here or modding section.
